Ensemble Enhances Content,
Adds TRAMS Functions
Ensemble Travel Group is expanding its suite of technology
products for members with a multi-layer cruise and destination
content platform as well as TRAMS Live Connect functionality
for the TravTech cruise-booking engine. The content
is free to all U.S. members with an Ensemble Client
Site, the customizable consumer web site developed and
hosted by Ensemble Travel Group. Enhancements of the
new cruise and destination content include the entire
cruise inventory with every category and cruise line;
a feature that lets the consumer o review up to six
cruises, itineraries, ports of call, ship features,
and prices; destination content for each port city,
including local weather, shopping, transportation, emergency
numbers, and parking information; photographs of local
highlights and attractions; ship section featuring images
and descriptions of ship profiles, public areas, and
deck plans with staterooms by category, and itinerary
maps; static cruise prices by category type, which are
refreshed regularly; ability to e-mail personal cruise
selections. Members that are live with the TravTech
cruise booking engine already have access to this content
and live cruise pricing. Ensemble Travel Group officials
anticipate a mid-May rollout of the cruise and destination
content to all U.S. members with Ensemble Client Sites.
Ensemble Travel Group members with the TravTech cruise-booking
engine also will soon have access to TRAMS Live Connect
functionality, which integrates with supplier web sites
and electronically passes the login and client data
to TravTech's cruise booking engine. The technology
then seamlessly imports reservation data back into Client
Base+ so travel agents can print itineraries, generate
invoices, store travel history, and perform other helpful
functions. (PC)
